Whether you want to live in town or out of town, the Ottawa Valley has a place you can call ‘home’! There are too many neighbourhoods to name each one individually, but what follows is a list of the essential services that you will find in different areas of the upper Valley. This may make it easier for you to decide on a specific area. Whether you’re a first time home buyer, or retiring to live closer to the cottage or in a smaller town, we have it all! You can find many links to the Township offices of numerous Ottawa Valley areas here.

Ottawa Valley and Its Services

The majority of the Upper Ottawa Valley consists of Lanark and Renfrew Counties. Lanark borders Ottawa and stretches through cottage country along the Highway 7 corridor. Renfrew County spans from the top-most edge of Algonquin Park and, through amalgamation, now touches the expanded City of Ottawa. There are now only 10 townships in Renfrew County, which is the largest county in all of Ontario.

Depending on where you need to be for work or recreation, you’ll find neighbourhoods that will give you everything you may want or need.
